Aidou & Yori. Fanbook-related joke.


People in the West ship Aidou and Yori together a lot. It picked up more after they finally talked to each other in the manga and it finally looked like maybe one day something could happen, but it had started long before they even talked in the series... because of people spreading misinformation about Aidou being in love with her in one of the VK novels. :S
(Which is totally untrue. Yori isn't even in that book. But the novels only exist in Japanese, and people saw the girl with short light hair, and some mistook it for Yori and started spreading the wrong indo around. )


In any case, the fanbook has profiles for the characters, and Yori is listed as having a fiancee.... but it's an arranged marriage and she doesn't even knows his name or face, so if she were to actually fall for Aidou in the series at some point, I don't think the fiancee will be that much of a problem. XD

The bigger problem for them getting together is... XD XD

When asked in her profile what type of person is "her type" (a question to which some of the other characters just replied directly by saying who they loved etc.), Yori said "a mix of Yuuki and Kiryuu-kun." XD!!

........ Thus, the wild minds of yuri fans & doujin artists everywhere can safely assume she'd happily get on with either of those two. 8D; (Yori x Yuuki doujinshi exists... XD)

Poor Aidou. XD;

Worse yet. When asked if she hated anyone..... Yori, the apparently 'gentle and sweet' Yori, surprisingly answered "Kuran Kaname."

This prompting yuri fans everywhere to be even more sure Yori is into Yuuki. XD XD
(Already in the manga, there are several instances where she tries to push Yuuki towards Zero, and shows disinterest when it's about Kaname... In the eyes of yuri etc. fans, it's a typical case of "If I can't have Yuuki, I'd rather she be with the guy I also have a partial crush on, than with my rival.")

In other words, Yori and Kaname are rivals. *rotfl*

I actually have many (comical XD) plot bunnies about it, but haven't had the time to write them yet.

One could think that perhaps, if Yori realizes she can't have Yuuki (the love triangle is complicated enough as it is. XD), then she might actually go for Aidou......?

Thus, ensuing in the joke in the pic I drew. They decided to give it a try, went out on a date together for the first time, and starting talking to get to know each other better.
Yori declared she hates Kaname, and Aidou had a fit, since he very much loves him. (And is only in the date for the same reason Yori is there since she can't get Yuuki.) XD
(The text is:
Aidou: "What?! You hate Kaname-sama??! How dare you, you...."
Yori: "Pfff, I knew I shouldn't have told you, Aidou-senpai...")


Onto a more serious subject, because of Yori describing her favorite type as being a mix of Yuuki and Zero, some fans in the Japanese fandom theorize maybe Yori could end up with Zero, if the ending of the series is Kaname with Yuuki... Although I find it unlikely. Unless a LOT of stuff happens until then, I don't think this could happen.

Yori and Maria can fight for Zero too. XD (Because Maria was interested in Ichiru.)
(Or the girls can run off and form another yuri pairing. 8D; )


It's just a crack pic. XD But the stuff in her fanbook bio is most entertaining, and gives plenty of ideas and possibilities. (Particularly crack fics with Yori vs. Kaname as rivals for Yuuki while Zero watches in horror. XD)


I support Zero x Kaname x Yuuki. X3 Threesome is best, that way all three would have happiness~!
